Canada 150 Environmental Design Competition 2017

Challenge your design students by entering the Canada 150 Environmental Design Competition 2017. College and university students from Canada and abroad are invited to create designs of Canadian local places, natural and built environments on the theme Proud, Strong and Free to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. Make the competition part of your course curriculum by downloading design briefs and data packages of Canadian sites available online at www.fanshawec.ca/urp2/designcompetition July 1, 2016 or select your own site to be confirmed by Fanshawe College no later than January 1, 2017.

In round 1, teams of three or more full time students will be required to submit three digital format design panels (reduced size pdf): site analysis, site ideation and site visualization, along with a 250 word description no later than March 31, 2017 to Fanshawe College London Ontario. A panel of five nationally recognized practitioners will select one winner from each of Canada’s six regions. In round 2, twelve of the best submissions will be invited to present their designs to the panel on May 6, 2017 in London, Ontario. There is no entry fee. There are cash prizes of $30,000.
