Recently a news article with this title was published. The article gives insight into the adventures of Jaga, one of our Dutch partners, in Canada and the USA. There is a need for decreasing the energy-use of buildings and Jaga provides among other things, radiators that make this possible. This has resulted in around 750 employees worldwide. Currently they are delivering material for the Vancouver House in Canada e.g.

AZ Awards in Toronto

The AZ awards are organized by the leading Canadian AZURE Magazine. The AZ awards is an international design and architecture competition which recognizes excellence and innovation and presents the world’s best projects, products, and ideas. Joining the competition is a unique opportunity to get international fame and recognition and participation of Dutch creative talent is encouraged. In 2018 almost 1000 submissions from 46 countries were submitted. 64 submissions were selected and 20 winners received an award during the gala in Toronto.

Mini-seminar: The social opportunities of sustainability

On the 23th of January a mini-seminar of the ministry of BZK will take place in The Hague. John Robinson, professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and the School of the Environment, at the University of Toronto, will speak at this symposium. Anke van Hal, co-initiator of Parallel 52, was in regular contact with the Canadian John Robinson during her 2 year stay in Toronto, and became very inspired by his vision. He will share this vision during this symposium.

Tall timber skyscrapers, beacon for a future friendlier to climate

On November 6th, Parallel 52 member, Do Janne Vermeulen, director at Dutch Team V Architecture gave a keynote speech in Vancouver.

It was a full house, with more than 500 attendees at the Wood Solutions conference. With all these wood specialist attending, it was an excellent opportunity to go in detail in the HAUT project, the 73 meter tall hybrid mass-timber residential building in Amsterdam.
